A Crochet Resolution...and a Preview of This Month's Giveaway
I decided to knit... Now I don't knit to pay more. I'm fine with Etsy. I joined in 2009 and have never liked selling. Don't get me wrong, I love Etsy. I buy most of the bags and jewelry from talented local sellers. I also love buying knitting patterns. I appreciate all the great discoveries made there.
These are some of my latest purchases.
It is more profitable to use Etsy as a buyer (for me)
In fact, I mostly sell outside of Etsy. People sent me letters and requests. Some of them are friends and people I know... that's the hard part. Say no to everyone.
Personally, I don't like selling my crochet projects anymore. I like to offer something to someone, but it is more useful for me to make gifts from weaving, to offer free templates and blogs. I haven't spent much time in the Etsy store yet. After ordering from Colorful Stripey Mitts , I realized that I prefer to spend my time on other things...
I prefer my day job (of course I pay more) and I prefer blogging. I prefer bartending. I think I prefer to knit without adding a dollar to everything. No more fun. Now I hope to get my love of touch back. There is no stress, time or obligation for all this.
I have a new friend who is a weaver and I enjoy brainstorming with him. I also really liked the Ravelry exchange.
Let me know if anyone wants to buy... but it's for sale, I'm basically done. Maybe there is a project for sale here or there. But in most cases I will return it, buy it and enjoy it :D
Having said all that, I will announce this month's gift soon :D
Here's a tip... one or two finished articles ;)
The Pink Panda model will be ready in a few days. I'm slowly trying to get back to what I like.
Tomorrow, when there are better photos, I will give detailed information about the gift.
