A Memorial

I could not write blog or blog posts for a long time. 2017 has been a difficult year so far. I was recently thinking about writing a post and kept telling myself that I had nothing meaningful to say. Instead of talking about crochet or knitting projects, I'm going to get a little more personal. This post is a warning to my brother.

On February 5, 2017, my 34 year old brother tragically passed away from this world. He left behind three children, his girlfriend, our parents, a sister, me and several family and friends.

It's a daily struggle. Feelings of guilt are hard to deal with (for all of us). I wish I had called and there was more. This is the hardest part. All I wish is peace of mind for me and everyone else who is struggling now.

What worries me the most are my mother, her boyfriend and my sister. Death changes us forever. Hope it gets less serious over time. I often work with death, but to see a loved one leave at such a young age ... it's devastating.

I think of the past, happy times and their children.

He's a music lover and I can not listen to much music right now.

Also love UNC basketball ... we share it. We are both big Carolina fans. I watched the game and thought how happy he would be if they continued through the year. Walking shoes!

I just hope you see for yourself what we can all do. He had so much to offer this world and the people he left behind.

Depression can be a silent killer. Take part in the lives of those who are struggling. Call more, visit more and sign up. Feelings of guilt and remorse are a heavy burden on the deceased.
