This weekend I have improved the styling of my spinning business, created wrinkles, watched the Super Bowl and made this new hat for Ireland. I got a lot of messages about owl hats so I wanted to add details about this hat with lots of pictures.
I made some of these hats, but not for Ireland. So I decided to make him one of the remnants of his old hat. It started out as a pig's hat, but when the pink ran out it turned into an owl. It's not pork, but he still likes it. He has a pig hat on his brain so I guess I should make another one too.

For this, you must have enlarged it.
I enlarged my eyes by adding some curls. The bigger the hat, the bigger the eyes need to be.
Eyes (I used blue for rounds 1 and 2, then white for rounds 3-5)
Chapter 2
1: 8 sc shift (8 sc) from hook to 2nd sc.
Turn around 2: 2 htr on almost all roads. Connect sl st to all roads (16 hdc)
Round 3: 2 SC in the first st, SC in the next st. (2 st in the next st, SC in the next st) approx. Join SL St. (24 seconds)
Round 4: Chapter 3 (counting the first ks). The capital is also on the same road. GS in the next 2 sts. (2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts) approx. Join SL St. (32cc)
Round 5: 2 sc in the first cent. The next 3 m. (2 sc in next sts, sc in next 3 sts). Join SL St. (40 seconds)
I added eyebrows after sewing the eyes on the hat. I am about 16 m. Look at the picture.
Nose
Chapter 8
Yarn from hook to second row and each next row. Chapter 1, turn. (7 seconds)
Sc2tog in the first 2 sts, sc in the remaining sts. Chapter 1, Tower (6 pieces)
Sc2tog on the first 2 stitches, gs across the brake rue. Chapter 1, turn. (5 seconds)
Repeat the reduction and finish with a stitch. Be prepared to leave a fairly long tail for sewing.
I also changed the edges. I wanted two colors for the edges and a fuller look. I recently received comments asking how the project could be made more presentable and finished. Basically, for the edges, I always add a circle of the same color before turning it into a contrasting color. If you change the opposite color of the edges (like the sides of the ear), the edges will not be as sharp as possible.
Then I added an extra blue thorn for this hat. I worked on the back loop to make the pink / blue combo more crisper (is that the word?)
Also try to spend a lot of time focusing your eyes and nose to make your face attractive. When sewing, work just below the first seam of the cap to keep the back neat. You won't be a mess in the project. And if I am not satisfied with the face, I will repeat it until I want it.
