Another Owl Hat
This weekend I made the perfect pattern for a yarn company, worked on my own terry cloth, saw the Super Bowl and made this new hat for Ireland. I was getting a lot of reports about the owl hat, so I wanted to add more details about it with more photos.
I made a lot of these hats, but none for Ireland. So I decided to throw away one of my previous caps. In fact, it started out as a pig hat, but turned into an owl because my pink color disappeared. She’s not a pig, but she still loves him. He has a pig hat on his head, so I guess I need to do it too.
I changed some details of this hat. The original is here .
To do that, I obviously make it big.
I enlarged my eyes by adding two circles. The bigger the hat, the bigger the eyes should be.
Eyes (I used blue for rounds 1 and 2, then white for rounds 3-5)
Episode 2
Row 1: 8 from hook to 2 sn. (8th)
2nd row: 2 DCs in each of the surrounding streets. Connection from sl st to the first st (16 hdc)
Row 3: 2 in the first stall, in the next stall. (2 stbn on the next street, stbn on the next street) in a circle. Merge with SL st. (24th)
Line 4: Term 3 (calculated as the first continuous stream). DC said on the same road. SSN in the next 2 tbsp. (2 stbn on the next street, 2 stbn next) in a circle. Merge with SL st. (32 cc)
Row 5: 2 in Sat 1 st. Rls in the next 3 tbsp. (2 stbn on the next street, 3 stbn next). Merge with SL st. (40 basis points)
I added my eyebrows after sewing my eyes to the hat. I knitted about 16 tablespoons of SBN. Look at the picture.
Nose
Section 8
SBN through the second vp hook and each vp. 1 channel, turn. (7th)
2 nabn together in the first 2 sts, nabn in the remaining n .. 1 vp, turn (6 sbn)
2 nabn together in the first 2 sts, nabn in the remaining n .. 1 channel, turn. (5th)
Repeat the decrease, ending with a dot. Finish with a tail long enough to sew.
I also changed the furniture. I wanted two colors and a complete look for the border. I recently had a few comments that asked how the projects look prettier and more complete. For most borders I always add a circle of one color before switching to a contrasting color. If you switch to a contrasting color for the edges (such as the side of the headphones), the edges will not be as clear as possible.
Then for this hat I added an extra circle to the blue border. I worked on the back loop to make the combination of pink and blue clearer (is that a word?)
Also try to give a lot of time to the eyes and nose to make the face look neater. When sewing, work under the first layer of stitching on the hat so that the back is neat. You will not have chaos inside the project. And if I don’t like the face, I’ll resize it to make it look like my choice.

I used wool yarn and a G hook (4mm).
The white and pink carone are just soft.
