This weekend I finished a pattern for a textile company, worked on my towel, watched the Super Bowl and made this new hat for Ireland. I got a lot of messages about the owl hat, so I wanted to add more pictures of it.
I made many of these hats, but nothing for Ireland. So I decided to make one of the remnants of the old hat. It actually started out as a Pig hat but turned into an owl because I ran out of pink. He's not a pig, but she still loves him. He has a pig hat on his head, so I guess I should do the same.

I expanded the eyes by adding two circles. They should have big hats, big eyes.

I also changed the fabric. I wanted 2 colors for the border and a more finished look. I recently received comments asking for more streamlined and complete projects. First of all, for the edges, I always add a circle of the same color before moving on to a contrasting color. If you change the color of the edges (such as the sides of the headset) to a contrasting color, the edges may not be as sharp as possible.
So for this hat, I added an extra blue circle around the edge. I worked on the back ring to make the pink and blue combination cleaner (is that a word?)
Also, try to spend more time with your eyes and nose in the center of your face. When sewing, only work under the first layer of the hat to keep the back straight. You will not get confused in the project. And if I don't like his face, I'll do it again until I want to.
