Basket Burnout
I did three more this week ... I burned
Some knitters have asked me if it makes a big difference if they use an M or N hook instead of the L hook, which I prefer.
So here are the results ...
The smaller one on the left is made with an L-shaped stroke.
Environment with M stroke and
It's okay with the kick N
You can really see the difference above. N grep vs. L-hook. I still prefer L. The smaller basket is so sturdy that it will not shrink or move. It is so tight that it almost fits in gloves (I exaggerate a bit).
I just do not like the shape of the other two to look like the picture ... so I recommend the L-shaped hook.
I did it a little differently. I used an N-hook and added another 6 stitches to the body to make the shape more oval.
Celebrate another hit
Another note:
To answer another question ... when knitting in circles, like these baskets or hats, always remember to knit and av. When you make a basket or a hat, it's easy to turn it upside down. Note the change in the appearance of the stitches.
When crocheting, remember that your stitches will always point towards you when they are on the right side.
Many of the baskets I have seen hanging have been overturned. If you look at the second photo in this post, you can see the difference between the inside of the basket and the outside. When finished, the top of the last circular stitches should be turned outwards, not inwards. This way you can determine if you accidentally turned the basket upside down.
Hope this helps answer some questions :)
