I'd like to share some news about what I've been working on lately. This is a new pattern in a new crochet book called Big Hook Rag Crochet.
The book came out this week and I was thrilled to receive a copy in the mail today.
Here is a photo of the basket itself that I took before sending it off for a photo shoot.
I know it looks like a real ombre basket, but it's actually a completely different pattern. The whole concept is different. I used a t-shirt for that. The whole idea of the book is explained in the title.
I like books that have designs by different knitters. It's great to see it in print. I've been working on another project this year that will be included in other books.
But out of respect for that, I'm going to hold a raffle. So stay tuned for more. I know I've been lethargic lately, but these types of projects and deadlines keep me busy. This weekend I will be attending the Southeastern Animal Fibers Fair (SAFF) in Fletcher, NC (near Asheville). It's my first time at SAFF and I'm really looking forward to it. I even went to bicycle lessons.
