Just a note on the material.
I would recommend using Super Bulky to create a strong or solid texture. If you are using a light weight thread, you will need to join 3 or more threads.
Do not use large hooks. The seams must be straight so that the basket is firm. Weave fairly tight (but don’t try to rub your hands too much) My next basket will be made of double cloth (a type of grease you’ll find at Walmart). This material is a real killer hand. But this is the hardest thing you can do.

Don't turn around when you've finished each turn. I went into every turn. You can work with a continuous spiral if you want to remove the seams.
