DIY Dining Table
I know I haven't been here lately. I'm far behind reading my blog. Projects with your own hands bothered me. I weaved a little, but not much. I have several completed projects, but I can't share them yet. Today I share with you the DIY project that Michael of Ireland completed on Saturday. dinner table
We have a large space in the living room և I thought the table would be perfect.
I found something I liked on Pinterest and left. Michael works with a boy who has a sawmill, so we buy firewood from him. On Thursday, Michael came home with pine boards 7 feet, 7-8 inches wide.
About a week ago I ordered raw steel pin legs from hairpinlegs.com և went to Michael Lowes և bought 2x4, sandpaper and 10 size screws.
On Friday morning Michael sewed the frame using 2x4 and I went to Lousa to get a clean coat. I polished the raw steel legs and gave them a matte clear varnish to protect them from rust. Working on his feet, Michael turned the top boards over, turning the frame over the boards. At 22:00 we started sanding and at 23:00 we were ready to put Minwax Spar Poly on the table. I didn't buy the usual Minwax Poly because Spar Poly is best used on dining tables to prevent water stains and food stains. In principle, sealed և durable is better. Flat poly, side tables, coffee tables, etc. Designed for furniture such as.
We finished the first floor of the poly in the middle of the night. That's why my pictures are so bad.
We knocked down the lid on Saturday morning և we trampled our feet ... և voila.
Not perfect, but that's why I love it. I love these legs (something really medieval-modern).
Measurements completed.

36 inches wide
2.5 inches thick or deep

Wood for countertops (we used five 7-8 "boards)

I hope my next post will be about a woven project that I haven't been able to share yet. I will ask permission today, see how long I will wait. I'm very excited to share this with you, but I have to be patient.
