Ireland's Scarf
As you read the last post, you will remember the four scarves you started last week. I showed you pictures of number 3, but not number 4. My nephew Ireland recently asked me to make a shawl. Last week she saw me start making all these scarves and decided she wanted one too. Number 4 is called the Irish scarf. I had beautiful raspberry branches that I thought were perfect for her.
When I finished I showed it to him and he said "I don't want pink, I want red!"
Well, nice ... Yesterday I went to LYS and bought her a bright red. Now this scarf is mine. It's a little short but I add a few lines and maybe some margin and it will be fine :)
Ireland asked for a shawl without a hole so I used a very simple stitch. I was a little tired of using half of my husband's ... and didn't even want to use one. So I decided on Extended Singles. I like very much. Create a simple and modern look.
I promised to write the model ... so here it is
Materials
1 branch worst for a child, 2 for an adult (I chose Vana's raspberries)
Hook change H : I. I used the hook
rotating needle
Sizes
child (adult)
Measurement
Not that important
Example
Explain the point
Single hook extended (esc): insert hook in row or row shown, 1 yarn over, pull 1 yarn over, 1 yarn over, 1 yarn over on hook, 1 yarn over, 2 pulls on hook.
Chapter 124 (180) I've done another one and 124 may be a little short
Row 1: Escape from the hook in the second quarter. Esc in each chapter. Chapter 1, turn.
Line 2: Esc at each point. Chapter 1, turn.
Repeat row 2 for a total of 10 (14) rows. End.
Web goals.
You can expand the row by adding more rows.
Change the esc lines by changing the dc lines. You can easily modify this template to make it as interesting or better as you like.
