Ireland's Scarf
If you read the last post you will remember that I started with 4 scarves last week. I have shown you photos of 3 but not 4. My granddaughter from Ireland recently asked me to make her a shawl. Last week she watched me start all these scarves and decided she wanted one too. Hence the number 4 is called the Irish sash. I had this beautiful raspberry yarn that I thought would suit her.
When I was done I showed her and she said "I don't want pink, I want red!"
Very good, great... so I went to my LYS yesterday and bought her a bright red one. So now this scarf is mine. It's a bit short but I'll add a few lines and maybe some bang and it will work great :)
Ireland required a No Holes scarf, so I used a very simple stitch. I'm a little tired of using the half doubles... and didn't even want to use the singles. So I opted for the extended drive. I really like that. Create a simple yet modern look.
I promised to write the plan... so here it is
materials
Bad yarn for a baby 1 skin, 2 for adults (I cooked in raspberries)
Size H Hook Edit: I used a hook
thread the needle
size
children (adults)
valuation

model
explanation of the point
Double crochet extension (esc): crochet hook on indicated MOF, rethread yarn, sc over yarn, slip 1 sc over hook, slip over yarn, slip 2 sc over hook.
Ch 124 (180) I made another one and 124 might be a bit smaller
Row 1: Esc from hook to 2nd ch. Esc in each chat. F1, rotate.
Row 2: slip each st. F1, rotate.
Repeat row 2 for a total of 10 (14) rows. End.
The action ends.
You can make the scarf wider by adding more rows.
Change it by replacing the esc lines with the dc line. You can make this pattern more attractive or more to your liking.
