Ireland's Scarf
If you read the last post remember that I started with 4 scarves last week. I showed you a photo of 3, not 4. My youngest daughter from Ireland recently asked me to make a shawl. She saw me unraveling all those scarves last week and decided she wanted one too. So number 4 is called the Irish scarf. I had a beautiful crimson yarn that I thought would work.
When I finished, I showed her and she said, "I don't want pink, I want red!"
Well, yesterday I went to my LYS and bought her a bright red one. So now this scarf is mine. It's a little short, but I'll add a few lines and maybe a few revelations and you'll be fine :)
Ireland wanted a shawl with no holes, so I used a very regular stitch. I'm a bit tired of duplicate halves... and I didn't want to use just one. So I chose the extended drive. I love. Create a simple yet modern look.
I promised to write a template ... here it is
materials
Light yarn 1 rug for children, 2 for adults (I used to knit in raspberries)
H-hook Editing: I used a hook
thread in a needle
The size
Children Adults)
meter
not that important
example
explain the point
Long single hook (esc): insert the needle into the indicated loop or line, pull on the sl-st, pull 1 sl-st on the hook, pull on 2 sl-st on the hook.
Ch 124 (180) I made another one and 124 could be a little less
Row 1: decrease amutik 2nd loop. Esc each time. F1, rotation.
Line 2: Esc at every intersection. F1, rotation.
Repeat row 2 for a total of 10 (14) rows. End.
Finished weaving.
The scarf can be made wider by adding rows.
Change the esc line by changing the DC line. You can easily modify this template to make it more attractive or of your choice.
