Of course I haven't blogged much lately. She didn't knit much either, and she didn't knit. Of course I wanted to, but I decided against it. Other things have become more important in the last 6 months.I was reading a blog recently and noticed a habit that I do all the time. I apologize. My apologies for not posting or reading enough of my blogging friends' blogs or creating new designs to share. I decided not to apologize so much from now on. There are things in my life that take time and I can't seem to find the time or balance my time to combine blogging with all the other things. I want my daughter to grow up knowing that I have been there in her life and in whatever career she chooses. I don't want her to look back and think, 'My mom sat on the couch and knitted or crocheted. Don't get me wrong, I love to play more than anything. But I haven't found a balance yet. To be honest, the focus for me right now is presence and activity in family life. Now I'm going to talk a little bit about what I've been doing for the last few months. I have to say that although I have not been able to knit as much as I wanted, I am happy and proud of what I have achieved.
When she went to school last year, Ireland decided to join the Girl Scouts... But there was a big problem. There were no houses in our neighborhood. There was a detachment of cadets and their commander told me that unless the mother made an effort and formed a new detachment, Ireland would not be able to join the troops. So guess what... I became the commander of a whole new team of daisies, contracts and juniors. Junior left, so it became a margarita/brownie team. From September to the end of the school year we host gatherings, events, and cookie locations. Ireland and the other girls had a great time.

We also went to the movies, trampoline park, pizza and other outings. After a few weeks we will see Secret Pets Life. We will have an intelligence pause until September.
Ireland also joined the district swim team. She's always been a pool girl, so I thought she'd love to be on the team.
I think she likes it, but she seems disappointed if she doesn't finish first or second. I keep reminding him that it has more to do with getting better as a swimmer, learning more and improving your time. But I think there is nothing more motivating than winning. It's really hard working full time, going to the pool 4 days a week and trying to get to out-of-town meetings, but the season is over in two weeks.
So that's what I do. I'm sorry I can't knit or crochet anymore, but I'm happy with everything I've chosen.
I am still knitting the same pairs of socks that I put on about two months ago. I am also working on an article about the hanging basket. It will be soon. I do not promise anything else, but I am motivated to finish this post thanks to the collaboration with Lion Brand. I am very happy about this because I love and use LBY a lot.
