We were in the Dominican Republic in June. We had a wonderful time and came home alive. Warning ... this is a serious photo publication

We did not accept the media stories and confusing messages from family and friends to prevent us from enjoying our journey

We stayed at the Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus in Bayahib. The resort was beautiful and the people were very friendly. We have been to several Caribbean islands and the Dominicans were by far the most authentic. The beaches and water were more beautiful than any other island we have ever seen. I understand why so many Dominicans go there.

The gardens and decor are wonderful. We were blown away by the beauty of the resort

We snorkeled on the way to the island and spent time on the boat drinking, listening to music and dancing. I really hope Ireland does not read this post ... it will go crazy for the photos

We had a wonderful time and never felt safe. I really hope that the recent events in the DR will not have a negative impact. Many workers depend on tourism to survive and will never harm tourists.

Another note ... I bought a new Mac computer! I've been without a computer for over a year (or two) and can not wait to start blogging again ... Using a phone to blog is not fun.
