We visited the Dominican Republic in June. We had a great time and returned home safely. Be careful... this is an article with lots of pictures

We didn't let media news and enthusiastic messages from family and friends stop us from enjoying our trip.

We stayed at the Ibarostar Hasinda Dominicas in Bayahib. The resort is beautiful and the people are very friendly. We visited several Caribbean islands and the Dominicans were the most authentic. The beach and water are more beautiful than any other island we have ever seen. I understand why so many people go to the Dominican Republic.

We snorkelled on our way to the island and spent time on the boat drinking, listening to music and dancing. I really hope Ireland doesn't read this post... it's going to be mad at the photos.

We had so much fun and never felt safe. I really hope that recent events will not have a negative impact on the DRC. Many working people depend on tourism for their livelihood and will never harm a tourist.
