We visited the Dominican Republic in June. We had a great time and came home safe and sound. Beware ... this is a post full of photos.

We didn’t let the media reports and serious text messages from family and friends stop us from enjoying the ride.

We stayed at the Ibarostar Hasinda Dominicas in Bayahib. The resort was beautiful and the people are very friendly. We visited several Caribbean islands and the Dominican Republic was the most enjoyable. The beach and water were prettier than any other island we have ever seen. I see why so many Dominican people go.

We enjoyed the Star Prestige Beach Club

The gardens and decorations are wonderful. We were amazed by the beauty of the resort.

Several birds can be found in the complex.

Ireland liked fish therapy and braided hair.

He made a friend named Chocolate.

The Dresel Divers diving shop is located in our resort and we took a trip to the island of Sauna

We snorkeled on the way to the island and spent some time in the boat drinking and listening to music and dancing. I really hope Ireland doesn’t read this post ... it’s going crazy looking at the photos.

The sauna was a very nice beach.

We had a great time and never felt safe. I really hope that the recent events in DR have not had a negative impact. Many workers are dependent on tourism for their livelihood and will never hit tourists.
