Our Visit to an Alpaca Farm

Last week we were at Peaceful Heart Alpacas in Fancy Gap, Virginia. This is an alpine operation with a spinning mill. I love this picture և I have to share it first.

We first went to the store where we met one of the owners. A room in the shop features natural fibers and yarn made from the farm's alpaca.

Another storage room filled with alpaca yarn from The Alpaca Store և Plymouth Yarn (part of Alpine Non-Agricultural).

I think Ireland is having so much fun I can't wait to get out and see the Alps.

Finally we got out

Isn't it just valuable? Look at the cute cupcakes... I don't remember all their names.

The Alps are very curious. They don't really care about foreplay and rubbing, but they will accept it. I also learned that alpacas only have bottom teeth...no top teeth...very interesting

The boy inside is Maximus... I remember his name. He was fascinated by the scent of Irish poetry. It's a delicate animal. I believe there are 45 to 50 alpacas on the farm.

I think the Irish like goats best...they are his size. I love taking them to new places to try new things.

After leaving the farm we decided to go to Bonn to do some shopping and eat something. Join us on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We like to go to the mountains in winter... The view from below is one of the sights. (I really wish I had my own camera)
