Poncho for Spring
I made this poncho last year... or last year? I do not remember
I posted it on Ravelry a few months ago for some reason I forgot to blog about it.
I love the light air feeling when I wear it. I thought I'd dig into it using it to work this week.
This is a quick easy project. Very elastic what is shown in the photo is not clogged.

Lace or fine thread (cotton for hot weather)

Important:
Very wide sweater.
Weaving more with lighter threads is a bit awkward, but necessary to create a lace pattern. Swipe up to see where it is.
Works only on the front or only with buttonholes.
I made both... the one in the picture with just the face rings.

Back in the ring
Round 1. 2nd stitch of Pb hook. RLS through every channel. Channel 1 alternately
Round 2. Pb in each cross stitch. Channel 1 in turn.
Repeat row 2 until you reach the desired width for your body. I quit after 50 lines.
Finish by leaving about 12 inches of tail for sewing.
Fold the piece in half. Using the glue, start covering the top of the fabric (not the side edges).
Sew about 4 to 5 inches. finish it
Rotate all edges. The fabric may look small, but the fabric is very stretchy (the poncho in the photo doesn't stick)
Don't be afraid to make mistakes. This model can be modified with many horses. I used 3 sizes of yarn for the image, but you can use any yarn you choose. I like mild to hot.
