Searching for Snow
There is not much snow in the lowlands of North Carolina. We did it last year ... it snowed four times before Christmas. But we usually see it for a day or two every winter. This is normal for me because I'm not a cold, snowy, winter type. Every winter I say, "Let's go to Florida." Michael and Ireland love snow. So yesterday Michael decided we would be looking for snow. The hill was getting bigger, so we decided to head west. The only great thing about the place where we live is the distance from the attraction. Depending on the coast, the mountains are an hour away and the sea about four hours. We ended up going to the beach mountain.
Winter is also milder in the mountains. No real snow. All the snow in the picture is artificial. This is all a lie. Ireland does not trust me. He did not understand what artificial snow was. I was amazed by all the skiers out there. I thought he was going to die.
Michael is a skier and always goes there. We want to discover Ireland and see if it wants to ski again. Since there was no real snow, Michael did not ski, so we will be back again. Maybe next time I can try the ice rink. I find it more interesting.
Ireland has fun with fake things
When we got home, I was not knitting a little. I want to, but my latest project is making me really nervous.
I like the pattern, but the yarn is not my favorite. I rejoice every time I enter my LYS. I found myself standing in front of Noros admiring the stunning colors and imagining how beautiful they would look on my neck, so I broke down and bought one. When I started knitting, I cursed the yarn and imagined it burning.

Needless to say, I'm not a Noro fan. Hmmm ... I said. I will leave Noro.
Next time I'm going to the store, I'll take a look at those adorable Noro shelves and go to the Universal Classic Shades or Poems. Yes, I agree, I like the classic feeling, but I do not use poetry. I hope it looks just as good and should be much softer.
Learn more about this project once I'm done. I would be happier if everything went well.
