I said a few weeks ago that I was working on a new thread but could not go into details. I worked on a big project with Spud & Chloe and now I’m writing a post about my experience in this amazing thread ... a little review.
I picked up a thin thread or sock and decided to take it to LYS to wrap it around the cover. I wanted to introduce him to his wife, Ruth. He was not wearing a handkerchief and I knew he wanted to see it, holding his hand. Ruth was busy with other clients, so she gave me a chance again.
I started to wrap my skin around it and was surprised to see that there was no cut or bruise on any of the threads. This is very convenient for our scorers. We all know how frustrating it can be to buy a thread and rip it apart and deal with knots while you’re working on a project.
I must say that this thread has been a great experience for me. I especially like the weight. I like to work with fine threads or fine threads. You can use it for anything ... socks, clothes, bikinis, bags, anything. I think it’s also suitable for clothes like sweaters. You won't find big or sturdy clothes in your socks.
Spud & Chloe Fine / sock texture is great. It looks very soft. There are no thin / thick stains on the threads. This is consistent across all lines. Remember, I work here not only with one thread but also with five threads. They are all consistent.
Another important function is separation. We all know how hard it is to duplicate. This can really slow down the hook. There are no cracks with this thread.
The colors are beautiful. I don’t think my little photos or photography skills really convey color.
As you can imagine, I love this thread. I will definitely use it again. I really hope my LYS will wear it in the future.
Each skin is 80% wool and 20% silk (OK)
