I tried to sit down and write the instructions for the rug...which were very simple. I didn't finish with the solid colors, but I did finish with the striped ones.
It turns out to be smaller than I thought, but it's really easy to make a bigger one.
It is made of all slip stitches. I like the low view. This gives you a knitted look. The great thing about slip crochet stitches is the thickness they create.
Ingredients
Super Bulky Yarns (weight 6) (I used Lion Hometown USA brand)
Hook size P

Note: Make sure you are only working in the back loop of each stitch.
Chapter 33
Row 1: sl st in each class, rotate. (32 million)
Row 2: ch 1, sl st only aft st each transverse st, turn (32 st)
Rows 3-87: Repeat row 2, following the order of the colors.

Take a woolen needle and carefully tie all these ends. With SL points...that advice is hard to hide.
If you need a wider rug, start with more warp yarn...say, 40 or 45 instead of 33. If you want your rug to be longer, just add more rows.
