The Pink Panda
Well ... I know, I know. I keep promising this model, but life seems to be interfering.materials
Crested (pink, black and white)
You will need less than 3.5 ounces of pink and a small amount of black and white.
hook size H
yarn needle
2 black buttons
Measure
Suitable for the head of a child, teenager or young adult
I made this hat for a 6 year old and it barely fits on my head. (I have a small head)
Note: for this reason I did not participate in every round. I hate sewing, so kept shooting. You may have to mark the first point to track the end / start of each round.
model
From Rose , Chapter 3
1st row: spend 7 WS in the 3rd temperature. Art. from the hook. (8 Mon) The first 2 air loops as one loop. Don't join.
2nd row: spend 2 WS in each. (16 HDC)
3rd row: crochet (1 hour in the next loop, 2 hours in the next loop). (24HD)
4th row: crochet (ie in the next 2 sts, 2 WS in the next art.). (32HDC)
5th row: crochet (ie in the next 3 sts, 2 WS in the next art.). (40 HDC)
Row 6: crochet (ie in the next 4 sts, 2 WS in the next art.). (48hdc)
Row 7: crochet (ie in the next 5 loops, 2 WS in the next loop). (56 HDC)
8th row: crochet (ie in the next 6 loops, 2 WS in the next loop). (64HDC)
Row 9-17: Crochet Htr in each. In the last round you will finish. I did a sc in the last two Ms, then a sl to avoid a very distinctive degree.
(If you're using headphones of the same color, don't worry about the ms and mc points.)
The first earphone
Holding the cap on the front side, tie a black thread ss.
Row 1: crochet 1 vp and sbn in the same st. SBN in the next 16 centuries (17 SBN) vp 1, round.
Row 2: 2 sts together with SBN in the first 2 sts, SBN in each loop 1 st, rotate. ( 16mb)
Row 3: Repeat row 2 until there is 1 tbsp. Finish.
Second headphones
Skip the next 17th century and secure the black SS yarn. Repeat the instructions for the first earphone.
I didn’t knit piles on that hat. I like the way he looks without him.
Finish by leaving the tail long enough to use it at the braid. (12 inches or so) I really hate weaving ends when I don't need it: D
ears
* Hold two strands of yarn together. This will make the ear thicker and will stand better *
With black wire, cap 4
Row 1: COOK 7 SBN in the 4th air. from the hook (8 SBN).
Row 2: 2 vp, WS in the first and next loop, (2 WS in the next loop, WS in the next loop) 3 times. (12HDC)
Finish by leaving a tail long enough to sew it to the cap.
Nose
With black cable, channel 5
Row 1: SBN in the 2nd vp from the hook and the next 3 n (4th) circle.
Row 2: draw 2 n together SBN (2 n).
Row 3: SBN 2 together. Finish by leaving the tail long enough to sew the nose to the hat.
Eyes
With white thread cat.2
1st row: 6 SBN in the 2nd temperature. Art. from the hook.
2nd row: 2 SBN in each loop, ready. (12 MB)
This will be your inner eye where you will sew the buttons.
External eyelets
Don't worry about points. If you find yourself wrong, no problem if you get an oval shape. Work these stitches in a continuous oval. Do not participate after each round.
In a black cap 4
Row 1: 2 SBN in the 2nd run from the hook, SBN in the next loop, 4 SBN in the last loop. Turn and work on the other side of the chain. SBN in the next 2 trails. Don't join.
Round 2: 2 SBN in each of the next 2 loops, SBN in the next 2 loops, 2 SBN in each of the next 3 loops, SBN in the next 3 loops.
Row 3: 2 stbn in the next 3 sts, stbn in the next 4 sts, 2 stbn in the next 2 sts, stbn in the next 6 st.
Circle 4: 2 WS in the next 3 centuries, stbn in the next 7 centuries, 2 stbn in the next 3 centuries, stbn in the next 7 centuries.
Row 5: WS in the next loop, 2 stbn in the next 3 sts, WS in the next loop, stbn in the next 8 sts, 2 stbn in the next 3 sts, stbn in the next 9 st. Finish with the knotless method. Leave a tail long enough to sew it to the front.
Sew the inner eyes to the outer bandages according to the photo. Next, sew the entire end of the eye to the cap. Try to place the points vertically rather than horizontally. Mine is perhaps too horizontal. It makes the muzzle look like a raccoon (maybe I've been looking at the muzzle for too long; D)
As always, be sure to stamp the top layer with hat stitches. Don’t go in completely, it will make the inside of the hat dirty.
weave
I used black, pink and white
Cut 10 threads of each color. You use 5 threads of each color for each earphone.
Please let me know if you find any typo or error. Glad to fix it. Tomorrow I will take better pictures and hope that Ireland will cooperate.
Don't forget to show me your ready pandas ... I will be happy to share them.
