Vacation

During the last week of July, we got in the car and drove off. We haven't made any reservations or plans yet. We asked for a week off. I even forgot to bring my camera. Therefore, all photos taken are iPhone photos. After driving all day, we ended up in Florida

This is Summer Haven Beach. It is located about 15 minutes south of St. Augustine. We found a beach hut which gave us half a day as it was beach season. The great thing about this place is the isolation. We hate crowded beaches, this place is perfect as there are only a few huts a few miles away. For 6 days we had it all to ourselves.

One evening we returned to St. Beach. Agostino to try the Salt Life Food Shack, which offers great seafood and drinks. He is a happy captain

I wanted to visit dolphins in Ireland so we went to Maryland which was only two miles from our cabin. He is quite excited

I have mixed feelings about places like this. I hate seeing wildlife in captivity; I can only hope that this precious dolphin has more space to live and swim than we saw during the experiment. Our second place went to Tomo, he is one of the youngest around. He's a good guy, he looks happy. Despite having mixed feelings, I enjoyed it.

We did the trolley bus tour of the historic center via historic St. Agostino. It must be the most beautiful city I've ever seen.

We spent our last day with Ripley and then at the lighthouse because I love them

And then on the beach

Our last day was perfect ... I didn't want to think about leaving which was weird considering I have missed the last 2 days.

I haven't done much in the past couple of weeks. Boy Scout season is starting again, so I'm trying to get ready. Next article on knitting ... I have some patterns to share ... they are included in a book due out next month.
