Vacation

The last week of July we got in the car and just walked. We had no reservations or plans. We requested a day off a week ago. I even forgot to get my camera. Therefore, all the photos taken are iPhone photos. After driving all day, we arrived in Florida.

This is Summer Haven Beach. It is about 15 minutes south of St. Petersburg. Agustini. We found a house on the beach, it took us half a day to locate it because it is the peak season for the beaches. The beauty of this place is in solitude. We hate a crowded beach and this place is perfect as there are only a few villas a few miles away. We left everything to ourselves for 6 days.

Ireland and I wanted to visit the dolphins, so we went to Marineland, just two miles from our cabin. He was very excited

I have mixed feelings about such places. I hate to see wildlife in captivity and can only hope that these precious dolphins have more room to live and swim than we do in our experiments. Our dolphin was Tomo and he is one of the little boys. He was a very good guy and he looked happy. Despite the mixed feelings, I allowed myself to have a good time.

We also got the historic church of St. Augustine. It must be the most beautiful city I have ever seen.

Our last day was at Ripley and then at the lighthouse because I love them.

And then to the beach

Our last day was perfect ... I did not want to think about leaving because it was full of nostalgia for the last 2 days.

I have not gained much in recent weeks. Girl Scout season is starting again, so I'm trying to prepare for it. The next article is about knitting ... I have some patterns I want to share ... they are included in the book that will be out next month.
