A Long Weekend
Last weekend was long. Today is our first day of the week. Ireland went back to kindergarten today after being ill. If you read the last post, you will remember our little ski trip without skiing. Yes I took Ireland to the doctor on Monday and found out she had strep. So we stayed in the house for two days.
I was trying to find something interesting to do and after leaving the doctor's office we went to the store to buy some things to fill us up... glitter, jigsaw puzzles, stickers, new nail polish (since our 40 bottles are gone are :D) and junk food (for me ... tehe). Oh... I can't forget the new princess trophy, she just has to have it... the little princess is beaming underneath. How do you say no to a sick child? She insisted I take photos of her new mug, lip gloss and nail polish.
I spend a lot of time on Pinterest. Yes... I am totally addicted. One of my boards is among the projects I want to test. So I thought it would be a good time to try some of these. Instead of just sitting around snacking all the time, I should try to use all of Pinterest. This is where the first photo comes into play. I dug up some straps and picked out some of my favorite colors.
I made this kind of friendship bracelets a few days ago... I thought I would definitely do it.

The colors are so beautiful. In addition to my late grandmother, I inherited this pen with thread and hook. Finally, given that, I'm happy to put it to good use.

I really failed at this job. I thought it would be easy. Ireland soon lost interest. It was very tiring for a four year old.
So I took out the old thread for practice.
Not as good as you can see. I am by no means a friendly bracelet maker. The chevron pattern really surprised me. Any suggestion will be appreciated by all talented friendly bracelet makers. I have to practice a lot.
This is WIP. Yes... Another owl hat :) Before sewing it looks very dirty. Fortunately, the finished product looks very nice.
