Remember the soft yarn I showed you last week ? Something has already been done. I still have to weave the tops and collect all the decorations, but you can already see what it will be!
This time I took on the challenge of drawing fur hexagons. Exemplary work! In my opinion, these delicate decorations look attractive with normal thick threads.
I have done many projects with Scheepjes Furry Tales using the same method I invented. Although it may have been used before, I don't know. At least my little internet search yielded no results.
All the designs I have seen were made using "finger point" tips. I personally found it nearly impossible to implement this blind method. She decides to create consecutive blanks instead of stitches, then stitches successive rows / circles into these large blanks that are easy to recognize and feel by hand. Much easier than looking for spots that work in tandem.
The template I am currently working on will be free on my blog and I will post it soon. It will contain written instructions and some progress photos.
Wait until next week and I'll introduce you to my new quilt pattern! (Yes, it will be a blanket, but I think you guessed it.)
