Searching for Snow
Here in the foothills of North Carolina, there isn't much snow. We did it last year... before Christmas it snowed four times. But we usually see it for a few days every winter. It suits me because I'm not a cold, snowy, cold person. Every winter I say, "Let's move to Florida." Michael and Ireland love snow. So yesterday Michael decided that we would go looking for snow. The mountains kept getting bigger, so we decided to head west. The only thing we liked about the place we stayed was the distance from the attractions. The mountains are an hour away and the sea around four hours depending on the beach. Finally we drove to Mount Beach.
This winter is cool and frosty even in the mountains. There is no real snow. All the snow in the photo is artificial. It's all wrong. Ireland doesn't believe me. He couldn't understand the idea of artificial snow. I was amazed by all the skiers that were there. I thought he was going to die.
Michael is a skier and always on the go. We want to tell Ireland everything and see if she wants to ski again sooner or later. Since there was no real snow, Michael didn't ski, so we will be back. Maybe I'll try a different track next time. It seems more interesting to me.
Ireland has fun with fake stuff
When we got home I wasn't crocheting a bit. I want to, but my latest project is making me really nervous.
I like the pattern but the yarn is not my favorite. I am shocked every time I enter my LIST. I stopped in front of Noro admiring the beautiful flowers and imagining how pretty they would look on my neck so I will bid and buy some. When I first started knitting, I cursed the yarn and imagined it would burn.

It goes without saying that I'm not Noro's lover. Sigh... I said it. I broke up with Noro.
Next time I go shopping I'll skip these adorable noro shelves and head to Universal Classic Shades of Poems. Yes I agree. I like the classic style, but I don't use poetry. I want it to look just as good and be a lot softer.
More on this project when I'm done. When everything goes well, I'm happier.
