Spud & Chloe Yarn Review
A few weeks ago I mentioned working on a new theme, but I couldn't go into details. I've been working on an important project with Spud and Chloe and now I'm going to write about my experience with this yummy yarn... a mini-review of sorts.I was given the weight of a few thin threads or socks and it was decided to take the balls to LYS to roll them up. I also wanted to meet her owner, Ruth. He doesn't wear wires and I knew he would be interested in seeing, holding and touching them. Ruth handled other clients, so she set up a contraption for me.
I started rolling it into a ball and was so pleasantly surprised that there was not even a gap between tangles or tangles. This is very convenient for our weavers. We all know how nervous it is to pick up yarn and deal with dangling and knots while working on a project.
I must say that I have a lot of experience with this yarn. I especially like the weight. I like to work with fine yarn or finger weights. You can use it for everything...socks, clothes, bikinis, bags, everything. I think it's perfect for dresses like sweaters. You will not get a large or tight dress from sock yarn.
The texture of Spud & Chloe Fine is very pleasant. Feels very soft to the touch. Michael (my soul mate) can even oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooing to do that. Can you imagine a thread that a person who has not touched or has not touched is surprised ... funny, isn't it?
There are no thin/thick spots on the strings. It is compatible with any rope. Remember, I am working with five ropes, not one. It's all compatible.
Another important feature is fragmentation. We all know how to nervously touch a broken rope. This can greatly slow down the weaving process. With this rope there is no separation.
The colors are beautiful too. I don't think my small photos or photographic skills justify the colors.
As you can see, I love this theme. I will definitely use it again. I hope my LYS exam will wear it in the future.
Each skin is super washable 80% wool and 20% silk (ok ha)
