Two New Favorite Go-To Patterns

I have wanted to make a scarf for Eliza for a long time. I finally did it over the weekend. I love it, I love it, I love it!

The best thing about this template is that it's free! It took me a day to tie it, a day to tie it and a day to photograph it. I tried to pretend and got some good shots. I didn't show my best scarf because she looked really drunk (btw). So here are some photos and then I'll show you another one of my new favorite gift designs.

Now look before you block...

while flying...

Incredible right? I love blocking Cooking all this can be tiring, but it's worth it. Ireland came out of kindergarten yesterday, went through the door and stepped right on the shawl. Obviously I'm furious and devastated because it's been raining here all day and I have to lie down on the ground and clean the ground very carefully. Needless to say, I put the shawl in the second bathroom and closed the door. It turns out that everything is still good ... dirt is not visible. The yarn is really good. I used Happy Feet No. 4 (about 390 yards) and no. one.

Just another photo... okay. i can't help him

I'm sure you're interested, you knit a lot and look for very little work. Yes, I also thought the same. But I have some interesting news about making money. No, I haven't found anything permanent, but... I have a paid job.

I currently have a design contract with a yarn company. I'm very excited about this. I can't give you details yet. I've turned down some contracts in the past due to very short lead times (4 days for example... yes that's right) but this company was great, they gave me generous delivery times and sent me a very good guide with which I'm working. Very exciting!!!

I'll share more information once all is said and done and I get permission from the company. Michael, the other half, said, "Now all you have to do is take 4 or 5 a month and you'll be ready to go." Yes it's true man, easier said than done :)

And here is another one of my new favorite models. It's not mine, I found it on Ravelry. These knitted Mary Jane slippers can be found here .

and guess what... it's also completely free. I did it last night when my little Ireli went to bed. They are very warm and comfortable, but don't pull them too tight or you'll feel like you're walking through a knot. here are some photos

I changed the last lines and edges. I also made a thinner buttoned strap. So if you decide to make a pair and want a modified version like mine, let me know and I'll tell you how I did it.

Change:
I received several messages asking how I changed the model.

Primarily. My legs are a little tense. If your feet are a bit wide, you may not want to change the model. I also wear size 8.5 (US) and I find this model fits my foot perfectly. I don't think the size can be adjusted as shown on the model. I had to work a little loose so that it was not difficult to go through the seams. I think it's all a matter of trial and error. My advice for those with smaller feet is to knit a little wider with a smaller size...and if you have a very small foot, use a thicker DK yarn.

I followed the pattern until I reached the top. In the first row, instead of 17 loops on the toe, I knit 16 of them.

Then I left rounds 5 and 6.

edge
Row 5: I work around the edges, single crochet (starting where I want my webbing) to the beginning (lowering this st).

Row 6: Ch 24, sl st to ch 6 from hook (this will create a loop) sl st in each ch and PM along sandal (no sl st in this last st).

the finish.

So I basically skipped lines 5 and 6 and replaced the last line with slip stitches.

Have a nice week!

Oh... I'm giving away the latest scarf pattern for free. So come back in a few days and I'll post it for you :D
