Hello Welcome to the second week of Scandi's Winter mystery game . Today we made the brisket pillow. And if this design is too big for you (these days you can get really busy with last minute gifts), you can still make small patterns by repeating a few sewing patterns. To try this technique. The Brioche pillow pattern has been added to your Ravelry library. Please update the download instructions. As usual, you will see two files. One is filled with progress images, and the other is just text.

So today we will learn how to weave a brioche. I have to admit that the brooch pillow is not a graded pillow. And maybe not the middleman. If you used to have brooch seedlings, do something different today, this time we're working in a row.

As always, use only one color in each row, don't crop it. The rope is carried in the next row along the border. You're working two rows on the right, two rows wrong, so rotate the work in two rows (except the beginning).
Changing/applying new colors can be difficult at first glance. I've added lots of progress photos to help you out. Plus a video tutorial link explaining the basics of weaving brooches. Please watch this video as it will surely answer all your questions helping you understand the written examples.

The brooch weave rotates around the front/back chain stitch, increasing and decreasing. Working on the wrong side can be a little tricky because you'll have to work all the stitches in the previous row of chain gaps. So the basic rule is to weave stitches of the same color from the bottom two rows so that the gap in the chain stitch is always on the left side.

Again, video tutorials should answer most (if not all) of your questions. If you're still not sure, you can post pictures of your progress in our Facebook group and ask questions there.
For the pillow I used Scheepjes Chunky Monkey rope * with a 5 mm crochet hook. I made two squares of opposite colors. I combined them with one crochet stitch.
